Also home of the International Fishing Pier - The 976 foot fishing pier is the crowning jewel on our beach, attracting thousands of visitors and fisherman annually. In addition to renting fishing rods, the pier concession stocks live, fresh and frozen bait, tackle, fishing accessories, ice and t-shirts.

Award-winning "Blue Wave" Beach. The City of Deerfield Beach has earned this award designation from the Clean Beach Council, based on specific criteria, which include excellence in water quality, beach conditions, safety services, public information and habitat conservation. Lifeguard are present for 9 am until 5 pm daily 365 days per year.

Surfing is permitted on the north side of the pier and south of tower #7. Sand volleyball courts and recreational areas are located on the north side of the pier. 

The City has (9) nine sand volleyball courts available on a first come first serve basis and are free for the public to use. The courts are located north of the pier in the recreation area. Games are played to a total score of 21 points. The winning team will remain on the court to play the challenging team. The City of Deerfield Beach has hosted the Olympic Sand Volleyball Trials. Throughout the summer, amateur and semi-professional tournaments are held.
